The short version
We collect the details you type into the order form, your email, and the fact that you paid. We use them to write your song and talk to you about it. We do not sell your data, and we never see your card number.
What we collect
- Your order. The child’s name and how it is pronounced, your relationship to them, the occasion, and the story you write for us. Some of this is personal and some of it is sensitive — illness, bereavement, adoption. We treat it accordingly.
- Contact details. Your name and email address.
- Payment. Processed by Stripe. We receive a confirmation and the last four digits; we never receive or store your full card details.
- Site usage. Standard analytics and the Meta advertising pixel, which tells us that an order came from an ad. See Cookies below.
- Media you send us. Voice recordings, photos and video clips, if you choose to send them.
How we use it
To write, record and deliver your song; to email you about your order; to handle revisions and refunds; to keep basic business records; and, where you have given permission, to show your clip or review in our advertising.
We do not use your story to train AI models, and we do not publish any part of your order without asking you first.
Who else touches it
A small number of service providers process data on our behalf: our payment processor (Stripe), our email and hosting providers, our form provider, and the AI-assisted music production tools used to produce your recording. Your story details are shared with those production tools only to the extent needed to produce the song. We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
Children
Our songs are usually about children, but our service is sold to adults. We do not knowingly collect data directly from anyone under 18. When you tell us about a child, you confirm you are their parent or guardian or have permission from one.
How long we keep it
We keep your order and your song indefinitely so you can ask us for the file again years later, unless you ask us to delete it. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires. Voice recordings are deleted on request after delivery.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it in advertising. If you are in California, that includes the right to know, delete, correct and opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell data. If you are in the UK or EU, you have the equivalent rights under GDPR, and our lawful basis is performing our contract with you and, for advertising, your consent.

Cookies and advertising
We use essential cookies to make the site work, and the Meta pixel to measure whether our ads lead to orders. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your Meta account settings and through your browser or device controls.
Security and changes
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and held with reputable providers. No system is perfect; if a breach affects you we will tell you promptly. If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page.
